I went through the process last night, and my HTC One XL has never felt faster. There’s not necessarily a
difference in terms of raw processing power — but the user interface is smoother, it takes less time to load apps or switch between running apps, and the phone even seems to boot or reboot more quickly.

At the moment it takes a little longer than it used to for the screen to turn on once you hit the power button, but that’s a small price to pay.

Unfortunately installing the new builds of CM10.1 can be a bit of a pain. Make sure to read through the development thread at xda-developers before getting started, but here’s the basic outline of what you need to do:

S-Off your phone
Re-lock your bootloader if it’s unlocked (this might not be strictly necessary if you have S-Off, but it’s what I did).
Update to the 3.18 RUU (this will replace your operating system, bootloader, and recovery)
Flash TWRP or CWM recovery
Download and flash the latest nightly build
Download and flash the latest gApps
If you’ve already rooted and installed a custom recovery on your device, it’s also a very, very good idea to backup your device using CWM or TWRP before you get started. I’d also recommend backing up your apps and data using Titanium Backup. You can then restore all your apps after updating, otherwise you’ll need to reinstall apps one at a time and you may lose some data associated with those apps.

While I was able to perform most of the above tasks with the help of an HTC One X All-in-One Toolkit, some commands didn’t seem to work automatically so I had to enter them manually in a command prompt. So if you’re not comfortable working with adb and fastboot commands, you may run into trouble upgrading.

The good news is that it’s relatively difficult to brick a device, and even if you end up with a boot loop (your device gets stuck at the boot screen), you should be able to get into fastboot by pressing and holding the volume down and power buttons to turn on the device, and from there you can boot into recovery and restore from any backups you’ve made.

Note: From my personal experience i suggested users to use WIFI or a 3G Connection for the whole update process.

Process to update:
1st) Connect your mobile with PC Companion (Be sure you have latest version of PC Companion - Sony PC Companion 2.1)
2nd) It will automatically will download a 2MB start up updating patch file (Will update to Build number 6.1.1.B.1.10)
3rd) Next step you will be prompt that a new software version available for you
4th) Choose Download (Takes 20 minutes in my 3G net connection)
5th) After downloading it will promt to disconnect your phone from the USB cable (some guide you have to follow then, will shown in companion)

**Now switch off the phone, Remove the batter for 5 seconds & reinsert the same, waith for 5-10 seconds, Press Volume Down key & plug the USB cable) - Make sure you hold the volume down key until the pc/latpop will automatically install the boot setup ,

6th) Now your phone will going to update (will take 5 minute maximum in your PC Companion)
7th) After the PROCESS complete command shown, just disconnect your phone, & remove battery, reinsert & start your phone

* It will take approx 3-4 minutes to start the phone for the first time, depending on the volume of apps you have with your phone.

7th) Enjoy the testy of the ICS

1) KEEP YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION ALIVE UNTIL THE WHOLE PROCESS COMPLETED
2) BE SURE YOUR PHONE BATTERY IS MORE THAN 50% BATTERY LEVEL.

This time i came with a new and updated details to do this work easily.

This time you can use the same process, except i changed the whole formula and rename it in a shorter and proper name.
@ Happy to say that i have created a add-on file for excel for this. so that, once you add this add-on into your PC or laptops excel program, you can  use this formula in any excel file on your PC or laptop.
You don't need to add this visual basic adding technique in every excel file.

Formula is - "=numword(cell reference)"

Hie my uc friends, welcome back. Today i'm sharing my tenth java app. Its name is "UC translate". It is remake of my previous tool "UC.BIN translator.bas". And now translation is much more easy. With it, you can translate uc.bin file to any language. Let's see the procedure:
translate:
Just browse your file system and select your chinese uc.bin file. Then select "Translate" from menu. You will see the progress of translation. After a few minutes, translated uc.bin file will replace your previous uc.bin file. And you will see the number of translated strings.
Import translation:
i've embedded my translator with uc 8.3 cn and translated bin file. You can import any translation to it. You need two uc.bin file of uc browser (same version). One is cn uc.bin file and other is translated uc.bin file of your language. Browse the file system, select the cn uc.bin file, then select "Import as original" from menu. Wait untill it completes the import. Then browse file system again and select translated uc.bin file, select "Import as translation" from menu. Wait untill it completes the import. Your imported translation will stay untill you reset. Be carefull, corrupted uc.bin translation file will reset the app to default.
Reset:
If you face any problem, then browse file system, select any file and select "Reset" from menu. The translation files will be deleted.
NOTE: The app will initialize only for first time. Don't close the app untill it completes the initialization.

Welcome friends, today i'm sharing my 9th java application "JPG Replace". It is basically made to replace JPG images from SWF files, but it can replace JPG images from any type of file. So anyone can edit SWF and other files with it freely. Only one limitation, YOUR IMAGES SIZE (IN KB) MUST BE SMALLER THEN THE ORIGINAL IMAGES. So let's start:
1. Open "JPG Replace", select "Extract" from menu.
2. File browser will open. Browse file system and select your SWF or other file which contains JPG images.
3. Extraction will start. This may take several minutes according to your file size.
4. After extracting JPG images, goto the folder of your file. There you find some JPG images with the name of your file. Replace the images with your favourate images (with same name). Don't delete or move any image. Your image size must be smaller then original image size.
5. Now open "JPG Replace" again. Select "Replace" from menu. Your images will embedded in new file. New file name will start with "Edited_". Replacing process will also take several minutes.
6. Now goto your original file's folder and test the edited file.

Hie my UC friends, welcome again. Today i'm sharing my new java application "SWF Creator". It doesn't create SWF files itself, but it converts any JPG image to SWF file (by adding SWF script to the image). It has 20 demo SWF files (light version contains 6 demo files). You can apply any of these demos to any image. But here is a limitation, YOUR IMAGE SIZE (IN KB) MUST BE SMALLER THEN THE MAX SIZE (max size for every demo is shown in the application).
Procedure:
1. Choose any JPG image . Small (in kb) images are better. Memorize the size of your image. Image resolution is not matter.
2. Open "SWF Creator", select any demo from the list. The max size must be greater then your image size (max size is shown in the demo file names). Press ok.
3. Now the file browser will open. Browse your file system and select your JPG image. Press ok to start generating the SWF file. The SWF file will be saved in same folder with same name of your image. This process can take couple of minutes.
4. Goto your JPG image's folder and enjoy your SWF file.
NOTICE: I'll post tutorial to convert any JPG file to any SWF file very soon. So keep your eyes open.

Hie friends, my seventh application is complete. It is a jad to jar downloader. When we download any java game/app, many sites doesn't give the direct link of jar file. They give only jad file and the jad file contains the direct link of jar file. So, we have to download the jad file first, then open it with any text editor, search for jar file url then paste it in any browser's address bar. It is complecated and many people can't do it. And all browsers don't allow to download jar file without install. So, i've made it to make the process easy. Let's start.
1. Download any game/app jad file (from getjar, mobango or other sites)
2. Install "Jad2Jar", open it and browse your file system.
3. Select the jad file. If the jad file contains the link of jar file, you will see the jar file name on the screen.(all jad file doesn't contain the url of jar file)
4. After a few seconds, download will start. You will see the download progress in kilobytes.
5. After downloading, it will show "Success...". The jar file will save in the same folder of the jad file.
Now enjoy your jar file. PM me if you get any problem.
NOTE: This app doesn't give resume support, so don't close it while downloading.

Hello friends, here is the first java online voice translator. It is so tiny but very powerful application. It was in russian language, i've translated it to English. But didn't found its official website for details. I've found these features in it:
1. Supports 63 languages. It can translate any language to any other language.
2. Voice translator can record your voice and translate it to text and audio. (all languages are not supported)
3. Text to voice (audio) translator.(all languages are not supported)
4. Verify your pronunciation.
5. Remember your last translated text. (while you exit and open the app again)
To translate, select source language and target language. Then write your text and goto menu>translate.
To listen translated texts in audio, goto menu>voice.
To translate your voice, goto menu>record, recording will start. Say your speech then goto menu>record again. You will see your speech and translated speech also.

Hie friends, now i'm introducing the first (Alpha) version of the first specialized bangla book reader. Now is in primary stage, and has many bugs, but you can read bangla txt books with it. Just open the "Bangla Book Reader", browse your file system and open your txt book. Press down key to goto next page. (you can't goto previous pages in this version). It now supports only txt files with win font now. In future, unicode encoding support will be added.

Hie friends, here is my fifth java app "MANIFEST doctor". It works same as my former tool "MANIFEST doctor.bas". It repairs any invalid java game/app by repairing its "MANIFEST.MF" file. And this one is easy to use and more advanced. (built-in file browser and one click repair)

At first, rename the game/app jar file and add extension ".zip". Open the .zip file and goto "META-INF" folder. Select the "MANIFEST.MF" file and extract it to anywhere. Now open "MANIFEST doctor", browse your file system and select the "MANIFEST.MF" file. The repaired "MANIFEST.MF" file will replace privious one. Then you'll see Success... on the screen and the app will exit automatically. Now put the repaired "MANIFEST.MF" file in the game/app .zip file. Rename the .zip file to .jar. Now it will be valid. Install and enjoy the game/app.

Hie friends, here is the first ever java ebook maker for java mobile. With it, you can easily create java ebook from txt files.
In forum, many people share java ebooks in ebook section, many thanks to them for there work. But many of the books loads very slowly. So i searched for a good bookreader and find the "MJbook reader". I think, it is the best java bookreader with super speed and many useful features. But there no way to make a book in mobile. So, i created this application (MJbook maker). No more talk, lets make a book.
1. Download "MJbook.zip" from here. It contain a folder named "MJbook". Extract the folder in "e:/".
2. Download "MJbook maker.jar" from here, install and open it.
3. Now select "Make a book" and browse your memory card. Select a .txt file and press ok. The conversion will start. The application will convert the txt file to MJbook .dat file and save in "e:/MJbook/" (conversion may take several minutes according txt file size)
4. After conversion, it will ask to write the book name and author name. Write your book name and author name and press ok. Then it will show "success".
5. Now open any zip archiver (Mini Commander, Blue FTP or other), goto "e:/MJbook/", select all files and folders, then make a zip. Rename the zip to jar. Your book is ready to install. Install and enjoy...

Hie  friends, here is my third java application "Mo-light". It is a ordinary light software with color management feathers. With it you can:
1. Use your mobile as a torch light.
2. Adjust colors separately (RED, GREEN and BLUE)

just press ok to goto menu. To change colors, select "Adjust RED", "Adjust GREEN", or "Adjust BLUE". Then drag the bar with left or right navigation key. Or quickly write number keys to input color value directly. Other features are easy to use, so no need help. Now install and enjoy.

Hie friends, getting tired to make opera skins? Of course, it is very boring task to change over one hundred colors manually. So, i've made this tool to create opera skin file (.col) randomly. Now you can create opera skins in seconds. So, let's start
First, download "Opmod random skin (col) maker.bas.zip" from here, rename it and remove ".zip" from name and move it to "e:/bas/". Open your Opmod, goto menu>tools>setting>general then select "change skin". Press up navigation key to goto bottom of the colors. Look at the number of the last color. E.g. In om 4.21b18 it is 108. (it represents the total number of color in the skin.) remember the number.
Second, open CellularBasicPro then load "Opmod random skin (col) maker.bas.zip" and run it. Write down the number in upper input box. Goto menu>enter. Generated skin will be saved to memory card root "e:/" and you will see the name of new skin in lower input box.
Third, open opmod, goto menu>tools>setting>general then select "change skin". Goto menu>import, select the .col file from "e:/" then press ok. Congratulations, you have changed your opera skin.
NOTE:
This may make your opera un-useable. If the text color and background color gets same, you could not see anything. (though its probablity is 0.01% ). So, try it at your own risk.

Hi, In this tutorial, I'll teach you a simple method to add List UI to any MIDlet has no interface.

Many of us like reading books. But due to many circumstances we are generally use electronic media for reading ebooks.

Most of the user having use their mobile to read their books. we especially like .jar format for java mobile instead of a pdf for lack of phone capability.

This post especially designated to those user who were used to read the book in their phone with java app, i.e. ebook in .jar format.

After lots of hard work, i have been modified a app for you guyz.

Tools required to make a .jar ebook

1) The Modified .jar application (This has been attached to my post)
2) your books data, i.e content in a notepad file (need only a text file)

What to do to make a .jar ebook

1) you just need to place the data file into the application modified by me. (you have to modified your text file name and extension, i.e. rename as "data" and remove the file extension and save as a "data file")
remove .zip from data file during download. its not a regular zip file !


Please Note That, this is a ready-made eBook, i have already entered forum rules as the content of this eBook. You need to just make a data file of your content and have to insert the data into this application, it will ask replace file, choose yes and you are done.

** The step by step guide has been shown below for your reference **


1) Download the eBook Creator by sMn.jar file
2) now you have to create a "data file" of your book content with the file name "data.txt". Be sure that you have been created a data file, otherwise your app will not work. I have been created some images, the steps to be done one by one





Your main file, where you have been updated your book content.





- Remove your file extention ".txt" and make it a normal "data" file
                                                                                  

After removing the file extension the file will looks like this image.










*** Now the main problem is due to systems default setting some pc or laptop will not showing the file extension after any file name. Then you need to do some changes in folder view settings, and then you will be able to view and edit the file extension easily.***

Open any folder, and then click on organize >> then choose folder and search options (This is only for windows 7 and 8, and if you are using xp or earlier veriosn of windows, opne folder >> go to tools menu >> folder options


















Now click on View tab >> And de Select / uncheck / remove tick from "Hide extensions for known file types" >> Click on Applly >> Choose "OK"

The one of the easiest way to create a Bootable USB/PEN Drive for your computer or laptop.
CD/DVD are some times not working due to excessive use. So, in the case of USB/PEN drive, it's always working.

(Just make sure that you have a pen drive with 4GB+ capacity if you are making a bootable USB flash
drive.) - Preferable

Requirements:
1# USB/PEN Drive
2# Windows 7 or Vista ISO or XP etc. (USB 2GB is sufficient for XP)
3# WinToFlash software (Freeware) (Download Here / Official Page)
4 # 10-15 Minutes of free time

Procedure:
1. Insert your USB flash/pen drive to your system and backup all the data from the USB as your USB drive will be formatted during the process.
2. Now run WinToFlash tool
3. Browse to your Windows 7, Vista, or XP DVD files (make sure that your USB drive letter is correct).
4. Click Create button to begin the bootable USB process. Wait for few minutes to complete the process.

You are done, then you can easily use your USB/PEN Drive to install your operating system.

When you first install Windows 7, it asks for your language, time and currency.

Based on your responses, it installs a set of wallpapers and themes. If you choose English (United States) for your time and currency format, for example, the available desktop backgrounds and themes will include a United States section with scenery from locations such as Maine, the Southwest and so on.


Hidden, though, are background scenery and themes from other English-speaking countries -- Australia, Canada, Great Britain and South Africa.
Normally, you can't access those backgrounds or themes, but there is a simple way you can install and use them:

1. In the search box in the Start menu, type C:\Windows\Globalization\MCT and press Enter. (Note: If Windows 7 is installed in a drive other than C:, use that letter instead.)
